Amir Fate 4

"When the tests were over, he explained that he couldn't explain why we couldn't have kids. And, apparently, that wasn't so unusual. It was called 'Unexplained Infertility' "                  - Amir, The Kite Runner

Fate affects Amir with this news because even though they can't have children, they end up having a child to take care of and love for in their home. Sohrab. Hassan's son that Amir had saved would now be coming to live with them in America. Sohrab was suppose to be the child for them to have.  This give's Amir the one thing that he and his wife were missing in their life. In my opinion, this was suppose to happen like this. They both got a child to care for and Sohrab had gotten another place to call home again. In addition, Sohrab had been blood to Amir, which had been important to afghan society, according to Soraya's father. Amir had got a piece of  Hassan to have with him and remind him of how Hassan had been a great, honorable, compassionate, and loyal brother to him.
